A little about the Fam…

Before all else, I’m a wife and mom. So here’s a little bit about the most important aspect of my life: my family!

AJ is my better half. He grounds me, keeps me motivated, and inspires me to be the best version of myself. We had been family friends for years and one day we just happened to become more than friends! One thing led to another and we ended up moving in together and decided to grow our little family… by getting Lucy!

Lucy is a 3.5 year old English Mastiff. She is also 180 pounds of lapdog. I’m not kidding. Any opportunity she sees to end up laying across someone’s lap, she’ll take it. She has all of the feelings about all of the things and is the most amazing “dog-sister” to Oliver, Emmie & Ethel.

Imagine the Tasmanian Devil. The one from the Looney Toons cartoons your dad watched with you when you were little. Throw in some red hair mix in an obsession with Toy Story and you’ve got Oliver! In the almost 2 and a half years I’ve been lucky enough to be his Mama, he still surprises me everyday. He’s curious, imaginative, kind, and absolutely adores his little sister.

Oh Emmie, our 1 year old. My little mini-me is full of cuddles and spunk! She has a serious case of FOMO that she hasn’t been able to shake since she first came into this world. She loves to be in the middle of everything and especially loves anything her brother happens to be doing. Chasing the dogs is one of her favorite pastimes, as is eating and stealing her brother’s toys when he’s not paying attention. She rivals Lucy for best cuddles in the family.

The newest addition to the family is Ethel who joined us right at the beginning of the SIP orders. At almost 6 months old, she is already pushing 40 pounds. She is definitely keeping us on our toes! She also thinks very highly of herself, and with a face like that, who wouldn’t? She loves Lucy & Lucy’s bed more than anything. Even though she’s still a puppy (with those piranha teeth and all), she’s been amazing with the kids and the perfect addition to our little family.

With these 5 other creatures running around the house, there is no shortage of chaos to keep me busy! While they test my patience, and sanity, their unconditional love and support means the world.
