Kid’s Movie Night

We recently sold our house and moved into my in-laws while we look for our forever home. The kids have had a pretty rough time adjusting to our new “normal”. To help make them feel a little more comfortable and give them a little break from the chaos of relocating, we decided to treat them to a little Family Movie Night!

Every now and again we decide to throw bedtime out the window and plan a fun little date night with the kids. We make some of our favorite dinners and snuggle up on the couch to watch a movie. It was something that started out as a break from the bedtime battle and turned into one of our favorite things to do with the kids! So to try and bring them the comforts of home, we decided why not make some pizza and snuggle up on the couch to watch a movie all together.

Our kids love movies. They usually go for anything Pixar has to offer and something that has to do with baseball. This weekend Emmie was on a pretty big Coco kick and Oliver has been obsessed with Sandlot for months now (if you’ve seen our dogs, you know why). So obviously we are on a pretty regular rotation of movies these days! When the shutdown started last year, we started watching a lot of movies to help pass the time. Honestly, I loved it! Not only did I get to watch some of my childhood favorites with the kids, but I loved watching their reactions to their favorite scenes. I mean who doesn’t love when a toddler belts out “You’re Welcome” from Moana without even knowing the right words?

With the help of my movie-loving toddlers, I’ve rounded up our top movies for Family Movie Night!
